Event Description

  • BLUE CROSS RIVERRINK WINTERFEST’S FREE ADAPTIVE SLED SKATING PROGRAM IS BACK ON SUNDAYS THROUGH FEBRUARY 2. BRING FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO ENJOY FREE INSTRUCTIVE SKATE LESSONS FOR THOSE WITH MOBILITY RESTRICTIONS. PARTICIPANTS WILL WORK WITH RINK STAFF TO LEARN SLED SKATING PRO-TIPS ON A REGULATION-SIZE RINK ON THE PHILADELPHIA WATERFRONT. The site is wheelchair accessible. All ages are welcome to participate in the lessons. There are a limited number of sleds per lesson. Each sled is first come, first serve. Rink staff will rotate the sleds to make sure each participant has a chance to practice. For more information about the program, please contact our team at riverrink@drwc.org.
